First and foremost, thank you for stoppin’ by and wanting to know more about me.  It makes me smile!

The Sunday Sweet is near and dear to my heart; it is the beginning of an exciting new adventure for me.  I have discovered my love to bake, well, actually it’s more than just a love for baking, it’s a love to bake and to share.  There is absolutely nothing better than being in the kitchen whipping up something sweet that I get to share with my loves and friends, and you!

My plan for down the road is to turn my virtual world of The Sunday Sweet into my own bakery/cafe.  It’s going to be a place where everyone feels welcome and loved.  And a place where you can satisfy that sweet tooth that I know everybody has.  Mine is out of control, thank goodness I enjoy running.

There is something so relaxing to me about baking.  It’s my happy place.  This is why I chose to start The Sunday Sweet.  I now have a place to call my very own where I can share with the world what I love.  My reward to this is that I have met more people to bake for, which means more people that I get to see  smile that amazing smile when someone has made something just for them.  That smile kills me in a good way!

Family life is myself and my love (Mr. Wonderful) and our Abyssinian kitty, named Oliver.  I am so thankful for those two everyday!  They are my heart and soul and keep me going on those days where… well, you know “those days”. We pretty much spend all of our time together.

This is what my love has to say about myself and baking:

When you encapsulate the purity of a child, the warm embrace of a loving mother, and the beauty of perfect flower, that is Dana. Within every creation she makes you just do not fall in love with the flour, sugar, etc. you just fall in love all over again. Her struggle and tireless effort in making every creation so perfect is what this world has long been without, the feeling of being loved. You may be her best friend or a complete stranger but that purity and warm embrace is within everything she makes.

Imagine that perfect Sunday where your mind is neither here nor there, laying on a field of grass watching the sun slowly close her eyes while you enjoy a little escape is what the Sunday Sweet is all about. Now bring that together with Dana and you have the best things this world has to offer.
