Last night my quick Target run turned into an extended Sur La Table run and $75 big ones later I left with some new spiffy utensils & mixing bowls. NO MORE momma’s 1980′s orange/red Tupperware bowls. Thank goodness. Here’s what I got!

I didn’t have a chance to remake my Angel Frosting last night, so tonight is the night! I noticed some beyond ripe bananas this morning, which leads to one of my most favorite things in the whole wide world. Banana Bread! So tonight it is on. Me. My Apron. New pretty bake ware. Banana Bread.

This is after I make a quick trip to Williams Sonoma to return the impulsive buys I made this weekend on a $15 avocado slicer and a $12 pastry blender. Although they were both fabulous, it was an impulsive buy and my guilty conscience can not take it much longer. Back they go because I would much rather have my new mixing bowls for now, and let’s face it, it’s Christmas and I still have many more presents to buy. It doesn’t help that I’ve got champagne taste on a beer budget either. So next time, Williams Sonoma.
